Health Insurance Plans
Health insurance pays for hospitalisation and treatment so a medical emergency doesn't derail your finances. Choose the plan type that fits your family.
Care for your health and your savings
Health insurance reimburses - or pays directly, at network hospitals - the cost of hospitalisation, day-care procedures and related expenses, up to the sum insured. Plans differ widely on room-rent limits, co-payments, waiting periods, restoration benefits and no-claim bonuses, so comparing features matters as much as comparing premiums.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about health insurance plans. Still have a question? We're happy to help.
What is a family floater?
A single sum insured shared by all family members covered under the policy. It's usually cheaper than separate individual policies.
Are pre-existing diseases covered?
Yes, after a waiting period specified in the policy, typically 2–4 years, provided they were disclosed at the time of buying.
What is co-payment?
A percentage of each claim that you pay yourself, with the insurer paying the rest. It's more common in senior citizen plans.
What is a room-rent limit?
A cap on the room charges the insurer will pay per day. Choosing a higher room than allowed can reduce the payout on other expenses proportionately.
Does health insurance cover OPD expenses?
Most standard plans cover hospitalisation only. Some plans or add-ons cover OPD consultations and medicines for an extra premium.
