Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about life insurance. Still have a question? We're happy to help.
What is the difference between term and endowment plans?
A term plan offers pure protection with no maturity benefit and a low premium. An endowment plan combines insurance with savings, paying a maturity amount but at a much higher premium for the same cover.
Are ULIPs a good investment?
ULIPs combine insurance with market-linked investment and have a five-year lock-in. They can suit some investors, but it's important to understand their charges and compare them with a term plan plus mutual fund approach.
How many life insurance policies should I have?
What matters is total cover, not the number of policies. Many families are better off with one or two adequate term plans than several small traditional policies.
Can I change my nominee later?
Yes. You can update your nominee at any time during the policy term by submitting a request to the insurer. We help you with the paperwork.
What documents are needed for a claim?
Usually the claim form, policy document, death certificate, the nominee's identity and bank proof, and medical records where applicable. We guide your family through the process.
