Lumpsum Investing
A bonus, an FD maturity, sale proceeds or an inheritance deserve a plan. We help you deploy a lumpsum in a way that matches your goals and risk comfort.
Put your lumpsum to work - thoughtfully
Investing a large amount in one go can feel daunting - what if markets fall the next day? The answer isn't always to wait. Depending on your horizon, we may suggest investing directly, parking the money in a low-volatility fund and moving it gradually through a Systematic Transfer Plan (STP), or splitting it across goals.
Estimate lumpsum growth →The right entry strategy
How you invest a lumpsum matters as much as where.
- Direct lumpsum for long horizons
- STP to stagger equity exposure
- Split across goals and asset classes
Why it's worth it
From your first conversation to ongoing service, everything is built around your needs.
Money working sooner

An STP spreads your entry across months to smooth market swings.
Goal alignment
Each rupee is earmarked for a purpose and invested accordingly.
Tax awareness
We keep holding periods and capital-gains treatment in mind when investing.
Simple, transparent, personal
We listen first and understand completely before suggesting anything.
- 1Understand your goals, family situation, time horizon and comfort with risk
- 2Shortlist relevant options as incidental advice and explain them in plain language - costs, risks and all
- 3Take care of KYC, forms and documentation so getting started is hassle-free
- 4Review regularly and stay a phone call away whenever life changes
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about lumpsum investing. Still have a question? We're happy to help.
Should I wait for a market correction before investing?
Timing the market consistently is very hard. For long-term goals, time in the market has historically mattered more - an STP is a middle path if you're worried about near-term falls.
What is an STP?
A Systematic Transfer Plan moves a fixed amount at regular intervals from one fund (usually a liquid or debt fund) to another (usually equity) within the same fund house.
What is the minimum for a lumpsum investment?
Most schemes accept lumpsum investments from ₹1,000–₹5,000, varying by scheme.
Can I withdraw a lumpsum investment early?
Open-ended funds can be redeemed on any business day. Exit loads may apply within a specified period, and ELSS funds have a 3-year lock-in.
Where should I park money I'll need within a year?
Short horizons generally call for low-volatility options such as liquid or ultra-short-duration debt funds rather than equity. We'll suggest options suited to your timeline.
